Export & Compliance Policy

SemesterMap is available internationally, but access may be limited by export control and economic sanctions laws. This page explains the restrictions and your responsibilities.

1. Overview

SemesterMap is a cloud-based software service accessed over the internet. While the Service does not include encryption products or controlled technology designed for export, your access to and use of the Service may still be subject to export control and economic sanctions laws, including those administered by the United States (such as the Export Administration Regulations and regulations of the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control, "OFAC").

2. Sanctioned Regions & Parties

You represent and warrant that you are not, and are not acting on behalf of, any party that is:

  • Located in, organized under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in any country or territory subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions or embargoes.
  • Identified on any restricted-party list, including the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN) List or the U.S. Denied Persons / Entity List.
  • Otherwise prohibited from receiving the Service under applicable export control or sanctions laws.

3. Your Compliance Obligations

You agree to comply with all applicable export, re-export, and sanctions laws and regulations. You may not use, export, or re-export the Service, or allow access to it, in violation of those laws — including using the Service to support activities or end-uses that are prohibited.

4. Geographic Availability

We may restrict or deny access to the Service from certain locations to comply with applicable law or for operational reasons. Availability of the Service in any particular country is not guaranteed, and we may add or remove geographic restrictions at any time.

5. Suspension for Non-Compliance

If we determine that your use of the Service violates, or is likely to violate, applicable export control or sanctions laws, we may suspend or terminate your account without notice and without liability.
