Cancellation Policy

Cancel your SemesterMap Pro subscription anytime. This policy explains exactly how to cancel, what happens to your access and data, and why pro-rated refunds are not provided.
1. You Can Cancel Anytime
SemesterMap Pro is a recurring subscription with no long-term commitment. You may cancel at any time, for any reason, without contacting support.
2. How to Cancel
- Sign in and go to Account → Plan.
- Select "Manage billing" to open the secure Stripe customer portal.
- Choose to cancel your subscription and follow the confirmation prompts.
- You'll receive confirmation from Stripe once the cancellation is recorded.
3. What Happens After You Cancel
Cancellation stops all future renewals. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. After that date, your account automatically moves to the Free tier.
Cancelling does not delete your account or your content — you can keep using SemesterMap on the Free tier, and you can resubscribe to Pro at any time.
4. No Pro-Rated Refunds
Because SemesterMap is a digital service delivered immediately, we do not provide refunds or credits for the unused portion of a billing period when you cancel. You retain full Pro access through the end of the period you paid for. See our Refund & Dispute Policy for details.
5. Auto-Renewal Reminder
Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price using your saved payment method until you cancel. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel before your renewal date, which is shown on your Account page.
6. Free Tier Downgrades & Data
When your account returns to the Free tier, features that exceed Free limits (such as additional courses, file attachments, or email reminders) may become unavailable, but your underlying data is preserved. Regaining Pro restores access to those features.
7. Account Deletion
If you want to permanently delete your account and associated data rather than simply cancel, contact us through the Contact page. Deleting your account is irreversible and does not by itself entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.
8. Cancellations Initiated by Us
We may cancel or suspend a subscription if payment cannot be collected, if these terms are violated, or if required by law. Where we cancel without cause, your Pro access will continue until the end of the paid period.
